Two posts in one day! I'm taking full advantage of the weekend.

I don't usually write much, but today I'm gonna use this blog as a bit of a journal ; ). It was really a nice long day. This whole weekend actually went by kind of slowly - that's rare. Today was really productive and a lot of fun. It was rainy all day and we were able to just stay home since we finished all the errands yesterday.

We were busy clearing out the basement a little bit in order to make it "usable" for the winter. I wanted to be able to let Kellan ride his toys down there or throw a ball around. There's not too much room, but once it was cleaned up a bit today, he stayed down there for quite a while playing. That was one of the really fun bits about today. You know how some times it's just really fun to be a Momma? We have this little thing (...my mother always did it with me...even when I was 15!!) When he is out of my sight around the house (like in his playroom), I just call to him and say "Kellan, you okay?" and he says "Yeh." I ask every few minutes just to make sure. Well, today I was in the kitchen and he was right in the basement, but he was playing so nicely that it was really quiet. I called down as usual and he replied "yeh." then a couple minutes later he called up to me "Momma, ya okay?"...SOOO CUTE!! I said "yeh, I'm okay?" and he said "k" and (I guess) just kept playing. Precious moments.

Sean was just sweet as could be today. Lots of big smiles and cuddles - he loves kisses!! I was looking at him today and noticed that his eye lashes are darker than I remember Kellan's being. It made me wonder if he'll end up with dark hair like his daddy (XO).

The boys are getting really interested in each other. Kellan is learning to be more gentle and Sean just loves to watch his big brother perform.

All in all a really fun day!
XOXO

We don't have a whole lot of room, so I got out the little chair that Rebecca loaned us so that Sean can start to join us at the table - rather than on it : )

I've been wanting to "decorate" for fall, so I decided to do a little project with Kellan today...we started it at the table...

...with a little helper...

...and finished it about 6 hours later after a bath. No hurry, we just went with the flow today!

(I wanted to be able to put our pumpkin in the window, but in order to see it over the -overgrown- hedge, it needed a boost.)
Happy Sunday morning from the Barry boys.

XOXO

Yeah...a new comparison picture - not even staged. I am missing some of the clothes that I had for Kellan so I'll have to do a hunt and find this sleeper. Hmmm...

We had a really nice time at the Wildlife Festival today. Kellan enjoyed it a lot (especially the horses and the wagon ride!). We've gotta say another BIG thank you to the Bishop's for letting us know about it : ) Who knew all of this was right here in our "backyard?"

Sean is somewhat under represented in the pics (but not the soundtrack!?), since he did spend most of the time asleep ; )

No cute faces to post...sorry to disappoint : ) We are going to a Wildlife festival tomorrow though, so I hope that we will have some good pics of that : )

I am just posting tonight because I'm happy it's Friday. Everyone is sleeping and I'm looking forward to two whole days with my boys. We had a really nice evening tonight. The boys are just REALLY GOOD! I'm so proud of them!!

The "professional" me disappears on Friday night, but I did find these cartoons again this evening and they make me smile - they are oh so close to reality. My Speech Pathologist friends probably have already seen them, but if you want to see "a day in the life" check out the rest here...

We'll be back with some cute little boy pictures before the end of the weekend : )

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Every once in a while Kellan wakes up and needs some reassurance...A LOT of times Sean wakes up and needs some reassurance : ) This (early) morning, I wasn't left much room so I decided to post it...of course!

This is from a couple of days ago, but still precious

We love this little seat. Sean is the perfect age for it now and he loves that he can be "in the middle" of everything! Thank you Gramma Baker!

Kellan loves to work in the kitchen, washing veggies...or cars?!
**Thank you Granny Barry for the GREAT outfit - Love it!!

Time is tight these days, so I decided to capture a "dinner moment"...Sean can't wait until he can eat with us!! For now, his hands will have to do : )

Doing dishes is FUN!!

Trying to squeeze in one more camping experience before the cold settles in. Thanks to the Baxters and Gensers for letting us know that you were going to be camping! - And for feeding us awesome meals Mike and Jess! We had a lot of fun!! Sadly, the camera didn't come out too much because we were too busy just doing NOTHING!!

Enjoy these pics anyway : )

Walking with Emily down to the water to let Mitchell swim...

Winnie and Mitch "sharing" the stick

Kellan LOVES to throw rocks and sticks for the dogs to retrieve.

Meanwhile...Sean took a cozy nap with Ian

...and, he tried to take another nap a bit later on

Don't they look like they are having a deep conversation?

...that I interrupted!

We are missing Granny Barry and our uncles already. Momma made a scrapbook of the visit (with pictures she borrowed) but these few were hiding and didn't make it into the "book."

We are so grateful that you came. It was a special time for us! Thank you so much for all of the wonderful clothes (we're sure to be the best dressed boys around). But mostly we enjoyed all the attention, love and fun. We had a wonderful time with you - we'll see you again soon.

Lots of love,
Kellan and Sean
XOXO
