Dear Auntie Jennifer, Uncle John, Eve and April!  You have spoiled us too much!!!  We LOVE our new clothes!!  We will certainly be the most stylish boys on the town :)   The jeans are just perfect and everything fits just right!!  Sean could not wait to get into his new clothes and had to try them right away!

You sent far too much chocolate!!  And were not supposed to send a gift for Momma!!  You know better Auntie Jennifer!!  Good thing that my resolution about giving up chocolate does not begin yet ;)

We are especially remembering Carl today.  I thought it would be a great time to post some of our most recent photos.  The boys have been busy with school plays, class parties and opening gifts.  Daddy is missed greatly during all of these events, but we know he is smiling down from heaven.  You are always on our mind and in our hearts Carl! xx

Only made it as far a Christmas Eve before opening the gift from Granny and Grandad.  The boys love their new coats (and this girl does too!)  The boys look very handsome in them!! 

 

 

 

 

Here are some pics from Sean's Christmas concert today.  It was so fun to see his personality come out on stage.  He was really cute (although we didn't get the memo about wearing a vest!), and seemed to be having a lot of fun. It seems that he is a big fan of "taking a bow" and did so often.  Throughout the show, Sean had the guidance of some darling little girls to keep him on track, and he sang the songs loud and proud...even if he didn't know the words! :)

This little one kept him in line :)  SO cute!!

Dear Carl, Tonight at dinner, Kellan asked if it was still his daddy’s birthday. I said, “no…that was yesterday.” He then asked if we could still celebrate your birthday anyway…so we did. We love you, Carl, and we remember you every day. I am a bit overwhelmed right now, but your boys are doing great! They are happy and growing into amazing kids. I am beginning to be able to see the larger picture…them as teens and young men. We have a way to go, but I am so proud of them and I know that you are too. We can’t tell you how much you are missed, but I know you hear the commotion (and the often exasperated momma telling these kids what their daddy would not put up with!!). Yesterday was your birthday, but I could not bring myself to post. It is always too real and still too raw. These kids miss you and need you, yet you cannot be here to teach and guide them. We love you and will continue to celebrate your birthday every day. All our love, Katie and your boys (they sure are busy, and they didn’t get that from me!!)

We love you Daddy.  Remembering you on your birthday!!  We know you are smiling down on all the silly things we do every day!!

These are the only pictures we have of our Halloween adventures.  No shots at all of our pumpkin carving (that didn't take place until right before trick-or-treating) or our travels around the neighborhood.  We have some very special neighbors that got some special treats for these two boys!  We are very blessed!!

Gramma Denno brought this calendar page over to us.  It was on her calendar and reminded us of this photo from the summer.  Gramma D. made balloon animals (and swords) for a community day and Kellan thought it was pretty awesome!!
 

BEAUTIFUL FALL DAY!!

Hello All,

We went out to camp today to close up the windows in case we don't get back this fall.  The weather was PERFECT, cruncy leaves under foot and a soft breeze.  Where did the boys want to be?  In the cabin!!!  This is how we do camp, Uncle Stephen!!  I think they need another lesson on how to be boys in the woods!!  : ) 
 

I even brought a set of rabbit ear antennas out there and we get one pretty clear channel (CTV).  Yippeee!!  We are really "roughing it" ... NOT!!  We just need plumbing and we'll be all set!!

Bella did a bit of relaxing too...she is such a busy girl!! 

Check out this outfit!!  Yup...I let him out of the house with his pants backwards, but he added the necklace and the "peek-a-boo" underpant band at camp...what a nut!!

Kellan took this picture...the leaves were are really beautiful, bright red in person.

 

All packed up for winter...a little sad...The water level gets really high in the Spring, so I moved everything away from the river's edge!
