These pictures are a few days old, but I know that you are not visiting the blog to read what I have to say, so I thought I'd post some cute faces : )
Today was a rainy day and a perfect excuse to relax(as if we need one). We had a nice time being "stuck" in the house. Kellan was content to stay inside and only asked to go "ba-bye" (AKA: "outside") once. This evening, He spent at least 45 minutes watching a football (AKA: Soccer) game on TV ... he loves sports and needs to have a project going all the time - he gets that from his daddy for sure!
Kellan helped Gramma Denno put together a little shelf and did a really great job. He used the hammer (with monitoring of course) very safely and with remarkable accuracy! (no nails...he just helped to pound in some little, plastic "finisher" pieces).
Sean is truly precious and, although Kellan went through a couple days of jealousy, he is back to loving his brother fully (sometimes roughly) and he monitors him constantly. He wakes up asking about the baby and goes to bed only after giving kisses. He is a precious boy...
Sean is a really good baby and only cries when he needs to eat or be changed...what a cutie...he's beginning to spend more time awake and alert...big wide eyes taking it all in...what a blessing!

We are missing Carl every day, but grateful for the gift of these precious boys! Check often for new photos as we document their adventures.
Maybe this will help my success with Skype calls!!
Ireland Time... A clock for those of us (ME!) who can NEVER figure out the time difference!!

Hello All,
I've not been good about taking or posting pics, but I took these after some morning baths and thought I'd share.
I know that I've not yet mentioned Carl in this blog since Sean was born. It was intentional. I made an effort not to sadden those who already miss him too much. I see now that it was a mistake. I have been living it fully and face the reality of Carl's absence every day. Filling out Sean's baby book and not being able to write about Daddy's first reaction to his birth has been very emotional. We will continue to post here and miss daddy much more than we talk about it. I am enjoying these boys though and so grateful for the gift that Carl has left behind.
God Bless,
Katie

Welcome baby Sean!
I am so tired, but there is so much to say and so much to be thankful for. Let me begin with the "stats." Sean David Barry was born on Saturday, May 9th at 5:10 am. He is 21 inches long and weighed 9 lbs 10 ounces. He was a much bigger boy than we expected for sure. my last sonogram -only 5 days earlier indicated he was about 7 lbs 14 ounces....yeah, right ; )
Sean (meaning "God's gracious gift")had a very rough delivery. He was a big boy and he had his cord around his neck. He also had a knot in his cord which I hear is pretty rare. He is perfect, handsome, and a very special little boy! We are so blessed to welcome him home. Kellan loves his new brother and claimed him instantly, giving him lots of kisses (and night-nights...aka...blankets).
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers...we appreciate it and will be in touch as soon as we can.
Lots of love!

Kellan had his first haircut tonight. Thank you Erin!! I love the length...still a few curls, but for sure a little boy cut.
Katie

Birthday boy!
I can't believe that Kellan is 2!! We had a fun party - Thank you all for coming! We also want to wish Auntie Jennifer and Uncle John a happy anniversary. Congratulations too to Adam and Carrie and the new addition to their family!!
Since we celebrated Kellan's birthday with a party yesterday, today we just went to the park and spent lots of time outside. Kellan loves to be outside...especially with his new toys : )
Love to all,
Katie, Kellan, and Baby
