Thank you SO MUCH for the WONDERFUL GIFTS! It really was too much as always! We had such fun opening the boxes! Momma's camera battery stopped working while we opened Sean's box, so we don't have many pictures of his goodies. We promise that we have used all his toys (and worn the wonderful hats) non-stop!

It was a long day and I'm amazed at how much more work it is to be home with these kiddos than to be at "work!" We spent a whole lot of time in front of the window this morning...watching a squirrel eat the sunflower seeds and rolling a train back and forth on the windowsill. We made it outside in the snow for a bit, but it was cold!!

Sean was rubbing his eyes a whole lot while I shot these pictures, but these sure do look beautiful! I am no expert, but it really looked like he was trying to rub away the "double vision" as his eyes defied him and did their best to work together. It may be just a mommy story, but it sure did look hopeful! I'm proud of this kid!!

We had our Christmas this morning and will be off to Gramma Baker's later today. Santa has our forwarding address and we are sure that he will find us there. The boys got two wonderful boxes just in time for Christmas. Thank you so much Granny and Granddad for the excellent (YUMMY!) treats and beautiful clothes! (Momma loves her new shirt too!!) Thank you Uncle Stephen and Auntie Stacy too for the books and special things. They are perfect!! Momma thanks you and so do we! The Elephant (poop!!) paper card was a highlight for sure - COOL!!

This kiddo is too funny! He has so many expressions. Sean is saying a lot of cute things right now. "I'm sorry" is at the top of the list. He says it all the time, especially when there is not a reason to. He also calls Kellan "brother" - a habit that is absolutely PRECIOUS!!! In response, Kellan says "I love my baby" all the time. I wonder when we will let Sean be anything but "the baby."
...not anytime soon for sure : )

Here is how we spent a good part of our evening. Kellan designed the Jack-O-Lanterns by himself...I tried to stay totally true to his design (despite my own ideals...e.g., ears on the bottom pumpkin ; ).

Thank you Gramma Denno for the "uniform!" Kellan is TOTALLY about being a firefighter right now and the TV is only ever on "Fireman Sam." He loves to run out of the house to rescue someone or "drive" his firetruck (it looks exactly like MY CAR!!).

This was really Sean's first "project" (that I've had the nerve to try with him)...Just like cousin Eve's little pig. These were extras from the party...Sean saw them in the basement and wanted them both!! We made sure that Kellan got to decorate one and Sean really did do his own. He was a bit more interested in EATING the markers toward the end, but I'd say it was generally a success!

I just think that this is a handsome (though un-smiling) face so I wanted to post it. He was REALLY tired in this pic...since we got rid of the soother/pacifier naps have been a battle...he's just an "early to bed guy" now!?! We've been taking little breaks from his glasses, but Sean really does wear them most of the time!!! Sometimes when he does not have his glasses on, it REALLY looks like he is controlling his eyes together...it is exciting to see!! It probably happens with the glasses as well, but it is not so easy to notice!! Please say lots of prayers that he will continue to make progress with his vision!!

Hello All,

Honestly, I feel like there is less time in the summer and even thought the days are longer - they speed by!!? We have been keeping very busy and I've not posted anything!!! SORRY about that! Lots of fun happening here. We got a fence in our back yard to contain Sean the escape artist...he loves it and it has made my life SOOOOO much easier (and taken a load off my mind)!! I could never take my eyes of Sean for a moment outside or he was headed toward the road...YEAH FOR OUR FENCE!! We've also been trying to keep up on the vision therapy exercises...I think that Sean is doing well and he tolerates all of it beautifully. The doctor told us to continue the vestibular activities and Sean LOVES rolling. Not sure that it is exactly what the dr. had in mind, but we've been heading down the the playground at the end of the street and rolling down a lovely grassy hill. Sean and Kellan have so much fun and get really tired out - It's GREAT!!

I've only taken the camera out a couple of times in the past two weeks, but I'll try to do better...here are a few of our pics...

Some very early morning shots from yesterday. So happy that it is Saturday now...what a week it was!!

A recap of this very interesting week would sound something like this... Mom (THANK YOU) made me an appointment at the garage for my car. It was sounding really loud and I was scared that it was going to be a big ticket repair!!? It turned out to be only some kind of heat cover and was very inexpensive ($25 yeah!!)...They checked the brakes and all and we got a good report...ready to roll!! PHEW!!
Also this week...we got a new dining table (OH HOW WONDERFUL TO HAVE AN UNCLE (AND AUNT) IN THE FURNITURE BUSINESS! - - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!) since right after the boys b-day our table finally gave up and refused to close?!
What else...well, on the same day...(Wednesday to be exact)...I woke to a "hot" smell, only to discover that the fan in the boy's room had stopped turning...I guess the motor died?! AND...later that day...the dryer gave up - it no longer turns!? So we are forced to be very "eco-friendly" and hang about 15 little boys t-shirts to dry all over the place ; )

With all of this comes some BEAUTIFUL WEATHER and we've been outside constantly enjoying it. No matter how long we are out...Sean is still screaming all the way in ; ) Today, the boys had lunch and dinner outside with only necessary trips into the house for bathroom breaks and nap time.

On a last note...I dropped off an application for a job about 25 minutes away in an excellent school district, and I really pray that it will work out!! If not...there will be something else I am sure!

What a very busy day!! It started with a perfect message from Cousin Eve...how wonderful!! I loved your song Eve (I think Momma cried a little at how lovely your song was!)...you have such a beautiful singing voice! I got a John Deere Gator for my birthday (Momma will post some pics if she can find the camera). Really, it is for Sean too...but he just gets to ride...I'm the driver : )

Tonight, we went to Daniel's 2nd b-day party! He had an awesome farm party (just like we are planning)...except they have a REALLY big John Deere tractor and a COW!! I helped Mommy decorate for my farm party on Saturday and have stayed up really late...Before I'm off to bed though, I have to wish Auntie Jennifer and Uncle John a VERY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! Sorry for the late wishes, but It's been a very busy birthday.

I always enjoy posting, so I thought I would take a couple of photos tonight just to add to the blog. Well...Sean would not remain still (as you can see...) and Kellan was willing to "grin and bear the photo opp," but just put on this silly smile and then asked "I'm done now?!"

We had a lovely day of staying (mostly) at home, with the exception of a trip to the post office to complete Sean's passport process...it's in the mail!! YEAH!!

We decided to be spontaneous (I don't generally "do spontaneous" well) and head to Saranac Lake with Mandy, Katie, Kylie, and Sharon for the day yesterday...We had plans to see the ice castle, but because of the beautiful weather, they had already begun to tear it down...we found just a big pile of ice bricks...but...
...this little beauty was standing just long enough for the kids to run out a bunch of energy...in circles!! Just as we started to drive away, the bulldozer took it down as well...how much work must go in to building these things!!? Kellan thought it was pretty awesome!! Sean thought the dozer was pretty awesome! ; ) Spring...can't wait for ya!!

It was a beautiful sunny day!! Apparently too beautiful for an ice castle to be safe?! It didn't last long after we left!! So much wide open space to run ON THE LAKE!! (Well, there would have been if this momma wasn't such a nervous wreck!!) Well, all that castle ice had to come from somewhere!!

Sean's favorite part of the day?...watching the backhoe destroy the ice castle...what a guy! *Note...his glasses stayed in the van for safe keeping ; )

Kellan insisted on wearing his "Buzz Lightyear" costume last night while he watched a few minutes of "Toy Story."

He wanted to make sure that he had all the "standard issue" equiptment on his uniform!! ; )

This kid has such long dark eye lashes...they touch the lenses of his glasses and leave smudges...so handsome!!

Looks like a yawn, but really...just makin' fun noises...

This photo was caputred just now in a dark room at bedtime...Kellan added one more "To infinity and beyond!" (Buzz Lightyear) just before running a lap around the upstairs...that's how any little boy settles for bed I guess?! : )

Here are the pics that we had taken of the boys in November...oh so handsome. I really expected Kellan to act shy and not cooperate, but it was actually Sean who cried and put up a fuss. Kellan was a trooper and followed directions like a pro (even if his smiles are a bit - staged ; ) Here's hoping that next year's pictures will be easy!!

We have spent quite a bit of time exercising that left eye the best that we know how. We will be going to another doctor in early January and hope that he can give us some more ideas to work on Sean's vision...we hope that we can help him learn to use his eyes together...XOXO He's a hard worker!!

Kellan loves his new toys...thank you Aunt Kathy and Poppa! We can't believe that we forgot to bring our camera with us when we met baby MacKenzie...she is beyond precious! Kellan was VERY interested in her!

Check out this hairdo...Kellan's hair is getting to just the right length...if he gets toasty from running around, he can make it stand on end. So handsome...and cool (he loves to cook and was making lasagna with sauce we made yesterday for dinner in Moira)!

You will notice that we had a pajama day today...It was lovely weather to STAY HOME ; )
